Apple today released the first Background Security Improvement (BSI) update, replacing the rapid security updates that it used to seed out a few years ago. The first BSI updates address a WebKit vulnerability that could allow maliciously crafted web content to bypass Same Origin Policy. There's a macOS Tahoe 26.3.1, iOS 26.3.1, and iPadOS 26.3.1 BSI update, as well as a macOS Tahoe 26.3.2 BSI update exclusive to the MacBook Neo.

    They are also rolling out the mandatory age requirements for Australia and a few other places regionally. Utah and Louisiana I’m not sure what they are doing.

    In areas that require it, basically your content and privacy settings will be mandatory turned on unless you enter a credit card verification, license, or national id that proves you over 18, your access/content will be limited.

    So instead of it being managed by parents, they have taken away the parental rights and given it to the government
