Interesting concept. This kind of thing needs more support. Let’s make it happen. I’ll start:

Legend! If more of us chip in like that, we’ll finally have a real alternative to an increasingly locked-down and FLOSS hostile Android, and completely side step Google’s control of it.
Thanks, I appreciate you posting this as well. I have been trying to do better about supporting open source projects lately and I was just thinking about Linux phones the other day so it was well timed. It would be awesome if we could get one to the point that more casual users could run it without trouble, but that kind of thing doesn’t happen on its own. If we want freedom we’ll have to pay for it in one way or another.
Right? Cut the weed, booze, or video game purchases, and donate to a good causes instead like FOSS or journalism.
Now that’s a decent amount!
I’m surprised it wasn’t like this from the beginning, but this is a good step forwards for a mobile OS.
