    Happened pretty much outside our house. We slept through the whole thing… Drove to work this morning right past where it happened, and you only knew because there was a news reporter there.

    Kinda crazy that two people can die outside your house and you don’t even know. Feels a bit blaise or something.

    Oh Jesus that’s awful for all of those involved. There are many lives affected by this tragedy. Poor youngsters too. Just out having fun like most of us did as teens.

    That’s really really sad.

    The article talks about compliant e-bikes however not about wether this one was compliant. A lot of very dangerous illegal e-bikes out there and parents have bought them for their kids.

    If you ride on the road at night with no lights, regardless of the vehicle type, you’re gonna have a bad time, or make a bad time for someone else. No mention of whether or not they were wearing helmets, either. This story seems more like a chance to vilify e-bikes and/or e-bike laws, than to report facts.
