Democracy feels like a game of:
“How long can we postpone the passing of the ‘Let’s make this country a dictatorship Act’”
“How deeply can we bury individual bits of this in separate, unrelated bills to get the effect we want”
It was killed before. I won’t be surprised it comes back again in the coming months…
