Explanation: The Parthian Shot was a term used to refer to the tendency of horse archers, particularly those in the nomadic tradition, such as the Parthians in Persia, to fire arrows as they retreat.
Here, there’s a little mix-up over what Parthian Shot is. Surely new ammunition trials are nothing to get worked up over…?
That… still doesn’t explain what’s happening
Top panel: Parthians display the Parthian Shot - note the woman firing backwards on horseback.
Bottom panel: A Parthian is loaded into a siege engine as ammunition. This is not quite the Parthian Shot normally meant.
Ah, I also did not notice she was seated as ammunition
