There’s nothing new here.

The third reich got a number of their ideas from the US, not the other way around. Oppressing people has been a nasty side of the US since it was founded, and probably always will be.

The only way this will change is if we meaningfully punish the people who perpetuate these backwards views and crimes. I don’t necessarily mean killing people, but fines, prison time, and exclusion from office are all viable. Every time we as a society decide to “just let it slide”, we are complicit.
