Melbcat is improving behaviourally, has eaten a little and started hissing at the vets. Waiting on bloodwork but that’s better than the complete lethargy of yesterday.

Touch wood, I thought I’d killed her.

Melbcat is staying in hospital for supportive care and iv fluids until she can be taken to the specialist (very soon). She rested against me to cuddle and took a few treats but she was really not looking good.

    spoiler

Waiting on a blood test result tomorrow that will let me know whether she could possibly have improved enough to come home and be on sub q fluids (which unfortunately are often a palliative care measure), or whether things are more serious or deteriorating. Euthanasia was brought up but I don’t want to go there yet and will be pulling for her.

I’m hoping fluids can get her values back down to her normal but this has probably pushed her much further down the CKD stages if it doesn’t kill her outright.

This is so sudden, much sooner than I expected for how stable the vets said she was before she went in for the procedure. They said despite all the issues she was robust and could live a few more years. Now this.

Blaming myself. I could have just continued with the Aldara cream in the hope it worked but I had to be sure and so complications from the surgery crashed her relatively stable health.

Now I wish I hadn’t pursued it. My poor baby.

      Hugs.

Remember. We can make all the ‘right’ decisions and still bad things happen. You have done nothing but the best for her and continue to do so.

Sending all the care and health and peace vibes to you both. She is a loved little old lass.

Oh sweetheart. There is never a good time for them to become unwell. You are the best cat mum she could ever have, and you have ensured she has the utmost of care. Please remember to look after yourself as much as you can while all this is going on.

One of my work mates was talking today about her and her partners material success.

I really like her and she wasn’t flexing.

I’m embarrassed to admit it, but i felt so far behind.

    Life goes on.

I feel bloody weird about getting rid of a mortgage in less than a year, but there is that somebody dying part, and I am almost 50. Not exactly a flying start.

So I was meant to have a session going through the trivia place’s code of conduct they’ve never taken me through before, because they never gave me the training they were supposed to. Now that’s been cancelled and they’re planning a larger group session on the topic, so what’s going on? Is everyone having complaints raised about them?

They’ve probably gone through their paperwork and realised a few MCs haven’t had an introduction yet. 2 birds 1 stone situation. That’s my guess anyway.

I wonder if it’s because I started so close to the end of the year or if the place is even more of a clown show behind the scenes than I thought

    Angry home reno rant/vent

Replacing a fence post and finding out that my old neighbour fucked me when he had the side fence replaced. At least that cunt’s moved away. Now I need to hire or buy a demo hammer to get through however much concrete he’s dumped in the hole. He set the 6ft fence post 6in into the ground. No wonder it failed. Gah useless fuck, this had turned a simple job into a fucking nightmare.

Also, Youtube just recommended me 3 low quality rap videos made about Melbourne over 10 years ago last night. Should I post them here in Melbourne or in Rage?

It wouldn’t even be to make fun of them, just how they’re an interesting time capsule of the period

Hey guys, I’m in a bit of a pickle. Second date guy says that if we see a piano, he’s going to make me play it. Thankfully he didn’t say guitar because that is going even worse than piano?

Songs to play to impress your crush? /j

Sunset Series #2. Alright, checked the map properly. I’m almost certain it’s 2 laps of this custom Princes Park track. Almost certain.

Back still sore, neck fucking spasmodic (fuck off neck, seriously), but at least it’s not as hot. Let’s go.

Just under 45 minutes for the 8km. Had a great time and felt pretty good. I sweated enough for everyone there. Next is the Tan in a couple of weeks.

There is a mudlark that keeps coming and hanging out on the pet bed outside the back door. Does this mean I now have a pet mudlark?
