I cannot post pictures anymore. Is that a thing now? Maybe I got banned from posting images without telling you why or what I did wrong? I assume I did something wrong. Only recently I found the mod log and dude, nobody told me that existed.

I think this should be fixed now, and the instance should allow large image uploads as well as larger animations.

This sounds like some technical issue. Could it be the size of the image, how big is it? There are some Lemmy limits set for this but they can be changed I believe.
Just screen shots or even links to images from my browser, none of that works. I’ve restarted the phone and reinstalled Voyager.
Yep I can reproduce the problem here too. Cant paste images into posts, get syntax error. Investigating…
I’m getting “Image is too large” and “syntax error,” too. But I’m able to post the same images using different accounts. @mrmanager@lemmy.today do you know what’s up?

They’re JPGs from 855kb - 1.82mb. I tried different ones that all worked on my sh.itjust.works account. I tried one today on my .ml account that didn’t work either, not sure if that’s related. Maybe an update that hasn’t been pushed by all the instances yet? I donno.
JPGs around this size used to upload without an issue on this account but stopped a couple days ago. The same files gave me either of those two errors on different attempts.
Please test now, I think it should work again.

Ok I will do some testing today myself and figure it out, hopefully. There hasnt been any updates but perhaps some setting changed with restart of Lemmy. And no updates are pushed to all instances, every instance has to update on their own. But thank you guys for reporting, im pretty sure this can be fixed as soon as i can reproduce it here today. :)
I fixed the syntax error when pasting images so that should work now.
Will look at file sizes next…
