what is that pixel-crosshatching used for shading here called? Is there a gimp or krita filter that would reduce an image to limited palettes like in early-'90s computers, and use this kind of crosshatching to approximate in-between shades?
It’s called dithering, bayer matrix 8x8 to be precise. I’m using aseprite.
