The baby on board stickers are too alert first responders that if they find the vehicle after an accident or some other emergency that they need to look for a tiny human as well as children/adults it’s not too pressure drivers to get them to not drive crazy, there’s really nothing for that. Just hang out by a school zone cross walk during release you’ll find out just how good people are at deciding to drive safe for children and the law.

I don’t think a permanent mark is a good idea for a warning. Emergency responders aren’t stupid. Unless you’re in a car with illegally tinted windows all the way around, they’ll easily be able to visually clear most any wreckage a baby is going to survive.

that’s why a lot of them are a placard you can take down. Also, you can just look up how often in real life responders have not realized a baby was involved in an emergency situation, it’s happened. It’s not a “you’re too stupid” type of thing. it’s more just making sure it’s known.

I know this is a meme and it’s meant to be silly, but there is a general misunderstanding of what the “baby on board” sign means.

It’s not “don’t hit my car with your car because there’s a baby” because you shouldn’t intentionally hit anyone’s car with your car…

It’s a warning to others that you may be distracted by a baby and do stupid shit, so maybe give some extra space and try to be understanding.
