…The Sweetest Cat, who prefers me over all the rest (came with his more boss cat big brother, but he died after three-months),
He has Hyperthyroidism, takes medicine for him to live longer & has “Rat” Alser (SP?) on his chin, wound that never goes away & scabs over, but flakes off & then bleeds. Problem #1. A. I can never get him to eat enough, all day, though Vet. told us he will never feel full.
How can I get him to eat more?
Problem #1. B. Sweetest cat always wants to eat together with our use the dogs’ big & taller water bowl, spilling tons of blood in their drink water. I think the answer might be, when a dog’s food bowl is no longer needed, then make that the sweetest cat’s water bowl & allow the hungriest cat to use the other two-smaller & shorter cat water bowls.
Any other ideas to get the sweetest cat to not drink out of the dogs’ water bowl & spill is blood into their water?
Problem #1. C. He always wants to eat together with our other cat, who will just keep eating, until round ball, so I cannot feed the sweetest cat, without putting his buddy & always hungry cat on leash attached to something to heavy to move & putting the sweetest cat on leash attached underneath the foot of the brandnew cat box. Partly so if the sweetest cat needs to use the bathroom he can reach either cat boxes, before he finishes his meal, as he has habit of pause in eating, then peeing on floor.
How can I get him to stop wanting to eat with the other cat, in same dish?
Problem #2. I cannot get him to use either of two-cat boxes even just more times than not using one of them. He pees on all floors & rugs, even on the spare room’s bed (that cats & I use to watch TV & pet each other).
We bought a brandnew all steel cat box, that just can easily be washed-out & no smells stick to it. Yet he does use that one either,
How can I get him to use new cat box?

I don’t have any real answers, but why not leverage his desire to eat with the other cat? You shouldn’t need to break them up unless they’re having problems between eaxh other or if it’s impossible to keep the eating one away from food intended for the starving one.

The association with food could be useful, though. Other than that, it might be worth changing things up, or maybe only having the bowls that they’re interested in out at feeding time? I cannot imagine an open wound around dog water is doing anything good for the cat.

You missed where I said, if they ate together the other cat would eat all the food.

The cats’ food bowls are only put down at feeding time, while they both are strongly begging, see above problem.

Dogs need to have access to their own water bowl.

Well maybe feeding time will take a little more hands on attention? If the worst of it is the eating cat will eat remaining food, then either separate them at a certain point, or try getting them to eat together but with like a baby gate between to keep the eater out of all food.

My main point is you seem to be searching for a fix to magically make the sick cat act normal so you can have an easier feeding time, but maybe an easier time will only be possible once quite a few specifics change.

Such as the dog bowl. If the cat is going to favor it, maybe the dogs need a different water bowl. If the cat favors the dog slobber over the bowl itself, that’s a whole separate chestnut.

Already done that for a while,

Thought of that, we have a dog on end of her life, hospice (nice I communicate about this & not cry), after she is euthanized & am going to take her food bowl & make it a cat water bowl. Tested it, completely clean & new water, & he drank from it
