    if i own a business i’m not going to let anyone break inside when it’s the middle of the night and no one is working

      Putting aside the hostility of other posters, it’s not about letting the homeless man sleep in the store. Here is a man who has no bed must sleep on the floor. Behind him is an empty bed that like likely never see true use as it is intended to be a display.

      In the way our system works, the man cannot have a bed because we’ve decided beds are only for people who can aquire them. So despite there being more beds than people, some people do not have beds. Some look at this and see that if the bedless man had the bed, their bed would be worth less. Others see that it is wrong for excess to be wasted when some do not have.

      In a society that values its people, every person would have a bed and you could continue to sell your beds without the need for people to suffer so they maintain their value.

      This is why 99.99% of business owners need to go the fuck out of business and never do anything ever again (and the remaining 0.01% need to relinquish ownership to their workers).
