Guys why is it so hard to make friends in this game? It’s even hard to just find someone to talk to! Is it just me? Or because I’m new? Or I’m missing something here?
It takes time to stumble upon people that connect with you. See about finding events to join. It takes time. If you have similar trouble IRL, VRC won’t fix that necessarily, but it does allow you to keep trying and practicing. It’s a game of numbers.

I do have that prb irl but it’s becuz I have ADHD i rhyme and become talkative or even a motor mouth only with people i share something in common with besides that my tongue is tied That’s what I understood from some articles I’ve read when i was searching for an understand to my social problem.
Hi! I basically never appear in public lobbies, my strat was just to join a VR focused discord lobby which hosts weekly meetup events, that’s how I made some online friends :3
Ive tried a discord server once and when a guy dm me and we met on vr I discovered he’s a predator… so i left that server and never tried that again hahaha i know just a bad experience and i should keep trying 🙃
Oh jeez that sounds like the worst luck you could have ever gotten. When I was younger / underage I always steered away or handled direct DMs with older strangers with some cautions (I’m in my mid 20’s now), but it’s understandable especially when a lot of these servers have a “friend-finder” channel where people can display their openness to get some friends.
I can give you my link to the VR server I’m in, however I don’t want to coencerce you into if you feel trauma or distress, but I think trying to meet online people in groups should be safer than someone in private, however that might be hard initially if you are really anxious like I am. We believe in you tho!
Yup. I had met some good people tho in that server but we didn’t become friends. Oh yeah! Plz I would love to try the server you’re in… I’m open to make friends since I almost have none. I’m also looking specifically for extroverted talkative people since I’m the opposite 😅. I mean I explained to someone here in the comments that I discovered the root of why I’m an introverted quiet person it’s because I have ADHD. So I really hope I can change and I’m trying to 😊
If your using a generic avatar and are new you will be assumed to be a child. Use your words join in conversations, you have to put yourself out there. You have to go to instances that are open and socialize to meet people with common interests. Once you make a few friends they keep piling up. Helps a lot if you are a furry.
