game i want to play for sure in the first few months
- Chained Echoes
- Fantasian Neo Dimension
- Final Fantasy Tactics
as every year i play 1-2 Trails games, thought about the remake of the sky series, but i guess i rather go into daybreak first, so i don’t have to wait.
For new games i’m only exited for the new Fire Emblem game and maybe Lost Hellden
Yeah, Fantasian’s on my shortlist too. Keep hearing good things about it and there’s enough potential nostalgia triggers in it for me to give it that extra bump.
I don’t plan that far ahead, but planning to start Ys IX soon, and resume FF XIV. Other than those, also plan to play:
- Super Mario RPG
- The World Ends with You: Final Remix
- FF XII: The Zodiac Age
Let’s see what else comes up.
First of all, I plan on clearing my backlog:
- Octopath 2
- Nioh 2
- 13 Sentinels
- P5 Tactica
Besides that, I have a few things on my mind:
- Hundred Line Defense
- Final Fantasy Tactics A2
- Xenosaga 1-3 (or maybe the rumored remake?)
- FF 7
- Persona 4
- Dragon Quest 1-3 Remakes
Probably already too many RPGs for a single year.
I would love Xenosaga remakes. I doubt I’ll go back and play the originals, so having the remakes will be great. I should finally play Persona 5 Royal.
My daughter still does not allow much playtime. I want to replay the first two Trails of Cold Steel games before diving into parts 3 and 4… and I guess that will be my project for the year lol. Ah yeah and finally Chained Echoes.
And before I forget, I wanted to play the Shadow Hearts series inally.
Definitely Trails Beyond the Horizon and Ys X: Proud Nordics. I’m not a “must play day 1” fan for Ys like I am with Trails, so it was pretty easy to wait for the new version considering how quickly they announced it after it finally came out in English. I also just started the Dragon Quest III remake in Japanese and already am having a good time with it. Plan to continue nibbling at that for a while.
The currently announced games in the genre are honestly kinda lean for me. Leanest in recent memory. The only ones I know for sure I’ll play are the last of the FF7 remake and the Persona 4 remake, and if I remember right they already said P4R isn’t coming out this year. So that means I might try catching up a little bit on some other series. I’ve got the following on my playlist:
- Atelier Escha & Logy
- Breath of Fire IV
- NEO The World Ends With You
- Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven
- Rune Factory 5
- Tenchi wo Kurau 2
- Yakuza 0 (probably will jump straight to LAD7 from there)
