It’s not fully satisfactory, but it’s at least something. We just shouldn’t award territory to Russia though.

The plan has some items which are not in control of Ukraine, Russia, or the US, like EU membership or World Bank loans. But it seems not crazy, so definitely Putin will just reject it.

So, after reading the brief, basically, if Zelensky had listened to Macron and Scholtz three years ago instead of Biden and Bojo, he would have saved his country countless deaths and strife, he would have kept a sizeably bigger slice of his country untouched and the EU would not be grabbed by the balls by the US due to energy dependance. Cool cool…

This agreement is legally binding. Its implementation will be monitored and guaranteed by a Peace Council chaired by President Trump.

      Completely and utterly worthless

Why? Did you read it? This is not the Trump surrender plan, but a sound peace plan, offering Moscow the occupied territorries and the lifting of sanctions in exchange for accepting Ukrains independence. The only thing I miss are the military and civilian prisoners. It’s actually so sound that there is no risk whatsoever that Putin will accept it.

The big issue is giving Russia the territory it conquered. This is “if you give a mouse a cookie” in geopolitics - Russia will see this as a pause to let them rebuild, then they’ll take over a little more, and a little more, until they own everything. This is how Israel keeps expanding its borders, and it will signal to every other country out there, if accepted, that invasions are totally fine, you just have to make the conflict public enough that the West forces capitulation.
