    It’s possible they could take off in cities, but in general I think this would require a significant cultural shift. Right now, too many Americans absolutely love their oversized pickup trucks.

    i’d love to have one. i love small, efficient cars… if it wasn’t for the instant death rumbling down every american highway and clogging every city street.

    Blame our regulators who banned them from being sold domestically. The kei cars that do make it stateside are coveted as fuck. Trucks that sell for USD$800 on auction in Japan are imported and sell here for several times over.
