In Germany, you can go blind and keep your car license once you have it, as long as you aren’t caught causing an accident.
Only truck and bus licenses require a regular medical check that checks vision, hearing, and a couple other conditions that can lead to sudden loss of control when untreated. For drivers over 50 with an added reaction test.
