I was going to do the spaceship at first. Decided to try doing the Apache myth of Fox stealing fire from the fireflies.
Wasn’t entirely happy with the face. I don’t draw a lot of animals, so it’s good practice.

Update on the whole thing so far. It’s full enough now that I’ve started to think ahead about what to do and where it should go
It’s looking great so far! Looks to be just about enough space left for the last week of drawings. :)

Awesome! I love the motion in your drawing, with the way the fox is looking at its pursuers, its body outstretched mid-stride, and tail trailing fire. I also enjoy the way you arranged the fireflies, with some in close pursuit, and with others off a bit further in the distance - it adds a good amount of depth! :)
Thanks! Motion is something I haven’t really been great at, but having a clear sense of the story really helped me wrap my head around it.
Touch-ups to enhance the fur, and to fix the weird looking eye. Used whiteout to redo it as more of a mythically luminous eye
