you can sign up for spotify with a disposable email and use the desktop client and an adblocker called “block the spot”. i can tell the difference between the best free tier and flac downloads i have if i do a side-by-side test but it’s good enough and you’re not supporting the company/might be directly losing them the fractions of a penny they give artists per play.
