I would have been OK with clans DLCs if the rest of the game had a focus on roleplaying, with well written characters (not quest dispensers), and an interesting complex world where you feel like you are in different place (i.e. the game world).
But if you read between the lines of the PR statements, it’s pretty clear that that their focus is on action/combat with some minor RPG stuff.

Even though they’re giving me the deluxe edition upgrade for free, I won’t buy the game. If I ever feel the urge I’ll pirate the game.
I think eventually some AA dev will make a true VTMB sequel, there is definitely a market for such an RPG.
To be honest I would be fine with lower quality assets as long as budget was given to key visual elements (faces, animations) and there was a well designed aesthetic direction.
