We’re told Danhausen preferred it to just expire if AEW did not have anything creatively for him.

Guess Tony felt AEW was getting too much passive goodwill lately with the Fed shitting the bed.

    • Danhausen wants to be a serious wrestler
    • Danhausen’s whole appeal is as a comedy segments guy

Honestly, I wish him all the best, but I really don’t think he’ll be happy anywhere until he accepts where he’ll sit on literally any roster. WWE will just want him to feud with Mr Iguana and R-Truth in backstage skits. AEW is all about actual in-ring talent and he’s just not up to snuff there compared to the rest of the locker room. NWA will only offer to pay him in hotdogs. What’s he gonna do?

I thought AEW was done with this kind of thing.

If they want out and the company doesn’t have plans to use them, they should just let them go. This kind of thing is just petty and pathetic.

CM Punk absolutely broke Tony. Homie needs therapy to get past his hero being a shitbag.

I wonder if he’s just extending everyone’s injury time from a legal standpoint.

Either way, Danhausen still gets paid, he can still work the Indies he wants and if WWE had any interest, I doubt a few extra months will dissuade them

That’s exactly what it is. If they don’t consistently extend everyone’s contract for injury reasons, then it could be used against them as favoritism or whatever if someone tried get litigious.

It makes sense. He’s done it in the past, so he’s gonna keep it up to keep it consistent since someone’s gonna view him as the bad guy doing the bad thing no matter what he does, validly or not.

Danhausen just needs to be careful cause if he gets injured on the indies while waiting shit out, he’s out of pocket on the medical bills, which is why most who get benched like this don’t take indie matches, but with his style he’s not exactly taking 20 foot bumps so he’ll be fine.
