I think they meant the sillier videos like “how big would the explosion be if you got all the uranium on earth and blew it up?” that’s some good goblin brain shit for me right there, and its basically just an xkcd “What if” animation. sure, you could say that a video like that plays into systemic pressure to normalize the destruction of earth or something, but pound for pound it doesn’t matter, its like a “scale of the stars” video

VERY different than the “we’re totally gonna colonize mars and beat climate change with investment” episodes

I guess maybe you could say videos like the nuke one and the “raining bananas” one serve the same purpose for Kurzgesagt as charitable donation does for capitalism, act as a flimsy pretense to support the sinister system that underpins it, cause wow, after not having looked in YEARS just judging by thumbnails this shit is bleak

    Edit:

Wow this is so cooked lmao there are SEVERAL “please PLEASE you have to BREED so we have enough WORKERS PLEASE” in the past year alone, cognito hazard.

The what if it rained bannanas video was fun though agghhh… my own treatlerism, it burns

Exactly what I was going to say. If they just posted the political ones telling us to “vote away” climate change and that neoliberal capitalism has resulted in the most peaceful period in earth’s history, then people would see them for what they are, a political mouthpiece channel. Instead, the science videos help hide their true agenda, they don’t truly want to educate people, they want to push people into their borderline (and sometimes not so borderline) fascist way of thinking.
