Several sections of Article 1 of the U.S. Constitution appear to have been removed from the official U.S. government website, as pointed out by sleuths on the internet and as seen by TechCrunch.

The changes were made in the past month, according to the Wayback Machine, which shows the full original text on Congress’ website as of July 17.

Several Reddit threads identified the changes in Article 1 of the U.S. Constitution: large parts of Section 8 have been removed, and Sections 9 and 10 have been deleted altogether. In the screenshot below, you can see the archived version of the site on the Wayback Machine on the left, and the current site on the right — the text highlighted in yellow has been removed.

These sections largely relate to the powers that Congress has and does not have, as well as limitations on the powers of individual states. The removal includes sections relating to habeas corpus, the powers that protect citizens from unlawful detention.

It’s fun to imagine what would have happened in that country if Obama had done any one of the things these fuckers have. Deleted part of the constitution? They’d have raided the damn White House.

Nah, it would be like the freedom fries thing. Republicans have short attention spans. All Obama would have to do would be to eat a fish taco or something.

They raided the damn white house anyway. Everything they say is utterly disingenuous, “reactions” most of all

I mean nothing’s stopping us. Except common sense, a sense of humanity, empathy for the poor bastards in between us and them, and having to get up early.

Why, anyone wanna go apeshit with an inflated sense of ego and purpose, and bust up the White House with some bear spray and assorted handguns?

We’ll need to get those cute little walkie talkies. And someone will have to get a big truck for all the flags.

This is why libraries and books are SO IMPORTANT!!! The technofacist oligarchy would like nothing more than for you to get rid of all your books and media and subscribe to streaming services and gibbity. RESIST!!!

You’re right. I just recently decided to remove all social media and switch to full physical media. Only using forums like these and steam to play some games. I feel like my privacy is being taken away from me and I’m not even in the US. I’m in Europe.

yeah it sucks because steam is actually not a bad platform. Out of all I’ve used its definitely the best… with that said everything’s been going to shit so I expect it to happen sooner or later

Uh huh, sure, a “”“coding error”“” deleted 3 sections of the founding piece of legislation of this country. Yup. Definitely a “”“coding error”“”, and not something more sinister, like an overly enthusiastic and explicitly cruel administration hellbent on crushing the citizens. DEFINITELY.

The Epstein files are a distraction in and of themselves.

      No more taxes to Israel.

      No more gestapo.

Bring back and improve social programs.

there’s reason to think that epstein and israel are actually separate heads of the same hydra. anyway it’s possible to pay attention to more than one thing at once.

The Epstein files are the distillation of rage in our country. They represent what Americans are most mad about, the rich and powerful doing whatever they want and trampling over the common folk. They are not a distraction, it’s a focusing lens.

I disagree. Run the alleged pedophile out of office and suddenly his replacement will have a much harder time managing the outrage at the awful things the US government’s doing.
