It does look suspiciously as if ‘the other place’ has not been attacked by the Starmer stormtroopers so far so maybe this site will not be needed just yet but it will always serve as a bolthole if you ever get banned for some infringement or other. Make no mistake though the effects of the “online safety bill” will make themselves known eventually. The mission creep starts with the likes of porn sites and later goes on to cover anything not approved of by the overlords.

I did this a long time ago Liz, I don’t remember exactly when, must be 18 months ago I should think, and one of the reasons I did it was because I had never done anything like it before and I enjoyed the challenge. So I appreciate the thanks but it wasn’t entirely altruistic. It wasn’t that difficult to do, but there was one thing that drove me mad, and that was the community ‘banner’ (the swamp logo at the top of the page). It had to have a swamp in it and it had to have the words ‘Free Speech’ somewhere. AI didn’t exist then, at least not on my computer, so I had to do some of the work on it myself (which is why it is so bad, I don’t really get on with graphics stuff) that wasn’t the difficult bit though, what was difficult was that they only accept banners of a certain size ie length, height and ‘weight’ (size in Kb) the trouble is that nowhere that I can find do they specify what those parameters are, so I had to keep submitting different logos until I accidentally hit on the correct one. It took me ages to do that.

Well the test worked, here you are. Is it nice to be ‘Flossy’ again? Who knows if it will be a necessary move. I know what you mean about a hello thread but I am not sure how to do that right now. I’ll have another look tomorrow.
Actually I have done it tonight I have pinned the hello thread so it appears at the top of the list. Unfortunately I can’t find a way to add Cochise’s post to it the thread but anyone else that comes along can just add a ‘hello’ comment to this post.
