More of a question for the community here, but now that it has been released and we know a lot more about it, is anyone going to play FFXIV Mobile?
Personally I’m probably going to avoid it. It looks interesting and has some nice QOL features we don’t have in the main game but it’s not something I want to be throwing money at.
I’ll give it a shot but I don’t have wild expectations. Really I’m just bummed that they canned FFXI mobile and touted this as a replacement.
As much as XIV is the MMO I enjoy the most of the two, I absolutely agree with this. I would have much preferred XI mobile.
Not for me. For one, it’s a completely different game, even if it wears the same skin, and I prefer what we have right now.
If I was back in China, this may have had more of an appeal where mobile gaming is insanely hot (and I’m pretty sure China was the target audience for this game given the developer they’re partnering with), but I just don’t see the appeal in being re-sold a game I already own but now with less gameplay and more microtransactions.
I’ll try it for sure. I always wanted to access the world anywhere.
No way it will replace the main game. The monetization is high but optional so depends how much they punish players without the battlepass.
Probably not, but only on the principle of I’m trying not to have games on my phone. It does look very interesting, but I feel like it catered to individuals who might never played before.
