Where do y’all stay up to date with gaming news? The /r/games subreddit was where I got most of my news from as it was happening but I’m trying to limit my use of reddit for obvious reasons, any other good useful news sources?
Kotaku, Polygon and IGN are some that I visit. They’ve got their issues, but overall I get most of what I need from there.
typical game website still have most recent news(say IGN or Eurogamer), if you hop on youtube and search trailer and then sort by trending then you should also get most recent announcements etc.
I listen to a lot of podcasts, some good ones that cover gaming news are the Giant Bombcast and Nextlander.
https://www.ign.com/news is a great resource. People know IGN more for their reviews but they’re probably one of the best sources of entertainment news. I was just reading https://www.ign.com/articles/ubisoft-forward-2023-everything-announced before seeing this post.
RockPaperShotgun for PC stuff.
SkillUp on YouTube does a weekly review that is always really comprehensive. They also do longer-form reviews of individual titles similar to TB’s old “WTF Is…” series. There’s also an excellent bi-weekly podcast on the same channel.
I usually use PC Gamer. Hoping this community replaces /r/games for me!
