Etymology
From Charles Boycott, an English evicting land agent in Ireland who was subject to a boycott organized by the Irish Land League in 1880. For the surname see Boycott.
They use Girlcott in jest and to get around the Devs banning the term boycott in their forums - The linked article, fairly at the top
gave up on the game when they decided to block linux users from playing (the game runs fine on steam deck through proton though :/)
