    I don’t see any signs of either.

    I attended an international event on Friday, and was standing next to the Canadians. When I asked if they’d seen any shame or shyness, the two ladies at the table told me that two teenage boys had come next to the table and started singing the American anthem. I looked around and saw that they had stood between the Danish table, with the Ukrainian table a few meters away. They were just kids, but they were old enough to be able to consider what is right versa wrong. This suggests that there are American families abroad who internally think that American imperialism is not a problem, while living in another country. It’s not just domestic conversation.

    Of note is that in these events are often found political and military representives of foreign nations, as opposed to just immigrants and residents.
