    If I had an Alexa box, the only privacy feature I would trust would be a switch to physically disconnect the microphone.

      That’s how they got me. I decided Siri was acceptable since I could set it to only listen when I pressed a button. Now somehow there’s an echo device in every room

    As opposed to now when everything you say to your Echo is sent to Amazon, but Amazon gives you a placebo privacy button to pacify you.
