I’ve never actually thought about it but reading this comment and thinking back over all the cars I’ve owned. All the ones that have blown up or had serious issues have been fucking silver!
I’ve only had to replace the transmission on mine twice!

I don’t totally hate that effect when it’s a sage green or robins egg blue, but I think that brings it back to OP (less common colors are more fun)
