HUGE thanks to @robb@social.lol for writing a clear, easy-to-follow #guide on how to enable #Fediverse author attribution on blogs/websites - so that it will show up under the link card: https://rknight.me/blog/setting-up-mastodon-author-tags/

    My “spray and pray” approach to coding worked once again 😆

    I LOVE seeing the author tag linking to my Mastodon profile under previews of my blog posts: https://blog.elenarossini.com/a-great-day-for-writers-introducing-mastodon-author-tags/

    Thank you @Mastodon@mastodon.social team! This is awesome.

    (For the record, this is really easy to do on Wordpress - a little trickier for Ghost, thus the mention of my “spray and pray” approach)

    Edit: as @shollyethan@fosstodon.org smartly suggested, Ghost has a “code injection” tab (so it’s easy there too!)

      @_elena@mastodon.social I haven’t tested if myself yet, but are you not able to add it to Ghost’s headers via Code Injection rather than editing HBS files?

        @shollyethan@fosstodon.org aw I hadn’t even thought about that! 🤦🏻‍♀️ thank you for making a great point Ethan, I’ll edit my post to add your comment

        If anyone is looking for the files after the "add code to a couple of .hbs files with “head” and “header” in their names. " 😂

        The file is located in /content/themes/source/default.hbs depends on the path and theme.

        @shollyethan
        Tested with Code Injection, it seems like the easiest method. No file edits.

        That’s probably how @molly0xfff used on her Citation Needed blog before Author attribution was available for the public.
