Hello! That’s my main mbin account, my alt is @Fitik, I also have a furry/personal account at @fitik
I’m just a regular person from Israel🇮🇱, a queer, and a #Fediverse enthusiast! I’m a liberal
I don’t post much stuff, but when I do I usually post about #tech

Hmm, I thought it was open-weights only, but I think you might be right, I’ve checked HuggingChat and it’s one of the options, so you’re probably right. And yes, it’s better than OpenAI
DeepSeek isn’t Open source tho
I played a lot of Cities skylines back in the day, but rn I mostly play Timberborn and it’s pretty fun ngl
On the other hand the Friendica Wikipedia article seems much more detailed, even tho I’m sure it could be expanded as well.
You can also alternately install the latest version from there - https://gitlab.com/randompenguin/bookface
economy of an oil nation
Jordan doesn’t have oil tho…
I would use the argument that you can’t access content on Discord unless you have a discord account, on the other hand pretty much all content on Reddit (And Lemmy etc) is available without registration
Oh, and that it’s much more focused on chats than on forum-style posts
That’s interesting, I assumed so because:
But seems like your opinion actually something consistent and not trolling, in that case I respect your opinion, even if I personally don’t agree with your philosophy I can understand it. It’s good that in the Fediverse you can choose an instance that aligns with your philosophy (Like lemm.ee) and I can choose the one that aligns with mine.
Because it’s an abandoned instance, or at least it was for a while
The least obvious Hexbear’s user alt:
Actually seems like a nice way to discover new groups to follow, cool!
Agree, they both speak ActivityPub, so it should be possible, would be interesting to see. They do need more code contributors tho
Yee, there are multiple Piefed instances, for example there’s also https://feddit.online/ that I know about
But fedia one is the official one I’m pretty sure.
Thanks for linking a link that works on Lemmy! Also strange that my Reddit link doesn’t work, but thanks for linking it as well.
I don’t really like “community” neither, as a MBin user I would personally prefer “group”
As a MBin user, I think it depends on what you’re looking for:
If you want to be able to follow and interact with Mastodon users, and microblogging side of the Fediverse in general I recommend Mbin
If you only care about groups (communities) and interacting with them I recommend Piefed
Why is there a whole Friendica directory if there’s no one there?
@melp@beehaw.org There’s this Lemmy post on !peertube@lemmy.wtf listing generic well-federated instances, but if you don’t care about the ability to follow other PeerTube channels from it, I’m pretty sure you can use pretty much any instance and it doesn’t really matter.
Ironically my CherryPick instance used to have it’s own Peertube instance, but they’ve closed it sadly
