Last month Musk said that he has had “enough of dodging gangs of violent drug addicts just to get in and out of the building.”

Are the roving gangs of violent drug addicts in the room with us now? Or do they go to a different school?

Lol… The Twitter offices are even in a nicer area of the SF business district. I’ve walked around that building many times in the middle of the night and during the day and have never felt unsafe.

      What a weirdo.

Funny, he used the exact same wording of the bots I see on Twitter and FB describing cities.

Like he ever saw anyone going in or out. Guaranteed he had a driver and security with him at every moment.

I’m guessing if he ever did have an actual homeless person accost him he’d wet himself.

But earlier this month, he said he would move the company’s headquarters to Austin, citing a new Golden State law meant to protect LGBTQ+ children as the “final straw.”

Imagine being so full of hate for a highly vulnerable group of people that you base your business decisions around it.

Imagine hating your own daughter that much. We need more people like Tennant, less people like Musk and Rowling.

I love when anti-progressive people “take a stand” against California by moving to Texas, and then they move to the most famously progressive city in Texas.

Austin: For those who are stupid enough to relocate based on culture war bullshit, but not stupid enough to think that you’re hiring software developers and creatives out in the boonies.

Aka “the taxes are lower for us”.

Also Chevron was leaving. Fucking bye. Two shit companies not in Cali. Oh no, two of the worst companies have left, all we have left now are the thousands of startups, Google, apple, Microsoft, Uber, Lyft, and hundreds more.

Plus the only reason xitter could leave is because they laid off 90% of your staff, and tbh this is probably another silent layoff. (Uproot your families and move to Texas or you willingly quit). So yeah, moving 20 people and hiring 10 in Austin probably isn’t too difficult anymore.

So, all that’s left is even worse? ;-)

Also, the easiest way – by far – to get a job in Austin is to not already be in Austin. God help you once you’re already here and get laid off.

I cannot comprehend how he can run his businesses so badly yet without any apparent consequence.

I don’t think musk does have that much money though. He’s leveraged to the eyeballs & his businesses (Tesla & Space X) are not profitable without govt subsidies while starlink had repeatedly failed to meet targets & has competitors about to cut into it’s market.

        • He might not be now, but like a year ago he was the richest human ever. I don’t think he’s fallen from the top 20. And that is just the official numbers. Imagine what might be hidden.

And don’t come to me with the “but shares are not money”. Shares are basically money, and you can even use them to convince banks to give you more.

And don’t come to me with the “but shares are not money”.

WTF are you on about? Where did I even alude to even suggesting that? Sounds like you’re really desperate to simp for him.

His companies are notoriously overvalued (so his shares in a practical sense are worth shit) and he is massively over leveraged so those who devise those wealth chart tables are chatting shit.

The real wealthy are incredibly private about their worth whereas boastful egotists like musk are all show no substance

            • Oh I am very sorry, I think I did not express myself properly. I wasn’t particularly referring to you, but rather the typical user who will answer to the “Musk is one of the richest” with the “company value” thing.

I do think tho that whatever your opinion on Musk’s companies is, the market clearly thinks otherwise, which banks are part of it.

Also, I strongly dislike Musk. But it’s very clear to me that he has enough power to do whatever he wants like wasting lots of money trying new things until something sticks.

Pretty much. These platforms right wingers take over are propaganda dissemination devices, not entirely “for profit” enterprises anymore.

The bag seems to be fine, but we still don’t know what butterfly effects it will have to its surrounding. I quote a local farmer:
