When the “baby on board” sticker is a little faded and beat up you know the kid is at least two years old now and the car is safe to ram ‘em.

Has anyone ever seen a baby on board sticker and thought “well I was going to drive recklessly, but I better not”

Apparently it’s more to let paramedics know in case of crash that finding and saving baby becomes priority #1. I know this from a 2011 meme so not sure how accurate the information is.

I’d be willing to bet paramedics and other first responders have actual training as to how an accident scene should be triaged, and don’t depend on which cutesy decorations the occupants may or may not have.

So when I see those baby on board signs, I give them a pass when they are driving slow or doing silly things at the red light(like pumping their brakes so the car is moving so the baby doesn’t wake up).

Boring fact for the day. The real reason for the baby on board sign isn’t for other drivers, it’s so if there’s an accident, the emergency services will prioritise the cars with the sign. So if you want priority in an accident, you know what to do.
