The police stormed the protest camp at the University of Chicago in the middle of the night, leading to a great interview with a student talking about, among other things, the cowardness of following orders.
Damm, that guy was top notch.
Need more people to be like both the protesters and the reporter. If nobody will be the megaphone for you – you are fucked. When occupy wallstreet happened the press basically was a sock puppet and a lot of brutality went unreported. Dissent is good but make sure you ally yourselves with the press. Cameras are your friend. Not all cops are bastards but a lot are. Be calm. Be clear and assertive. Be an example.
We are all in this together. United we stand.
“ThEy DoN’t EvEn KnOw WhAt ThEy WaNt!”
I remember that and I remember being so goddamn mad about it… That and that Peter Schiff piece of shit…
Something interesting worth nothing, the perceived failure of occupy wall street pushed a lot of leftists to the far right. Some of the organizers of occupy were involved in Jan 6th.
Crazy huh?
It doesn’t shock me. Desperation does some pretty fucked up things to people.

He actually discusses how he’s interviewed people who were saying “I’m either for Bernie or Trump.” It’s crazy
Wow, that guy did a great job of staying on point and getting the message across. Well done.
What an eloquent young man
That was absolutely amazing, calm, to the point, poignant and just straight truth while on the literal front lines of the protest. Part of me wants a shortened “highlights” version that’s easily shareable to help spread this but at the same time just about everything said feels important.
I hope his message and that of the other protesters gets across to as many people as possible
What a speech! We definitely need more people like the ones standing for what’s right in this shitty world we inherited!
Kudos to the student explaining the situation.
Excited for this to be everywhere on the internet and no where on network television so I still have to explain to my boomer parents why people are furious.
