The past few days while using my iPhone 14 Pro the Lock Screen has been sliding down on its own. I am able to swipe I up and continue what I am doing. The time between instances of it happening appears random. I have tried cleaning the screen, I do have a tempered glass screen protector that has been on it since mid December. There is no damage on the screen itself or the protector.

This is my first iPhone since the 3. I got this one new this month last year.

Has anyone here had this happen and found a fix?

Update: after updating it appears to have stopped happening… So far.

You’ve probably already tried restarting and checking for updates, but it’s good to check.

Looks like either the update or the restart fixed it. Thanks.

Apparently there is an update. I do have my phone set to automatically update but this is the first I am seeing it. Hopefully this fixes it.

No. I am talking where I am reading something on the screen and the Lock Screen comes down. Or more accurately the notification screen but if there were no notifications on it, despite mine having notifications. It happens when I am not touching the screen as well as when i am actively scrolling.

How easily can it be reproduced for an Apple technician to have a look? If you can get it looked at in an Apple Store, that’d be ideal. Keep in mind that they work by appointment and you can reserve yours online before you go. I’m extremely familiar with the platform and I’m having trouble picturing what’s happening here, but maybe I just don’t understand the description.

It has been totally random, but frequent. Closest Apple Store is ~80 miles. I just updated to 17.3.1 and so far it has not been happening. If it starts to again I will make an appointment to have someone look at it.

There was an update I missed. So either that or restarting fixed the issue.
