I think the plot is to soften anger at them. everyone knows how terrible they are but they want more people to think “they not so bad” so they can face less opposition to their crusade. pretending to have progressive values might fool the less tuned-in

The Jesus Christ of the New Testament was an alright guy who condemned the selfish, defended the vulnerable, and told those that follow him to welcome and assist people from foreign lands.

Whatever the fuck 99% of American “Christians” worship, on the other hand, is more corrosive than xenomorph blood.

If Jesus existed and returned preaching what the New Testament claims he stood for, American “Christians” would probably skip the crucifixions and just blow his brains out.

Christofascists lie and cheat? Who would have thought they’re dishonorable and loathsome. I’m glad more people are learning about the agenda of this disingenuous campaign.

They can’t fathom the idea of anything having appeal that isn’t a brand. They’re capitalists, so everything is a commodity. Of course they think about religion the same way they think about any other demographic commonality: It’s just a data point, so we need to onboard customers to it so they’re more easy to bend and more likely to enable our social control. Why on earth would people just be good to each other? because the Incarnation of God told them to?! Ridiculous–and who cares if they are anyway, right? They have to be marketed to, because they have to agree.
