Lemmies? Lemmings?

it’s lemming time
but i like lemmies term, we should used that
I like a more Fediverse-oriented term. My favorite so far is “Fedinaut”.
Lemmings, I think. The self-deprecating-self-monikers seem to be most successful. IMO
Yup, and besides it’s part of the namesake from the code: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy#whys-it-called-lemmy
Also, what’s the term for Lemmy’s “subreddit”?
…sublemmy?
Lemmon party
Someone should make a lemmon.party instance
Community, if subreddit is what I think it is. As in subreddit
r/memesis a communityc/memeshere.Oh, I see. Thank you.
Even reddit started calling their subreddits communities, though I don’t know if anybody ever actually calls them that.
To me, communities will always be subs.
Lemmings seems popular and I’m sure the incoming hoardes from reddit would resemble lemmings.
Well, Lemmy is part of the Fediverse, as has been pointed out. So maybe we are all Feddies? I am using Kbin.social, so maybe I’m just a Bin? Then again, as boring as it is, maybe we are just users? Or even more shocking, maybe we are humans? Nah, surely not? I will stick to calling myself a twat.
Feds has nice ring to it :)
Not in the U.S. it doesn’t. (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
glowies, perhaps?
Look at us, were the glowies now.
I think a frequently used word is Fedizen, i.e. Fediverse citizen.
fedizen is so generic.
I didn’t serve so I’m not guaranteed citizenship.
When this was asked 2 years ago, the community agreed on Lemmings, but I also rather like the second most suggested name, Lemmynauts.
i like lemmings
@beto It might be a good idea to not do that thing that happened with Mastodon, where everyone thinks the Mastodon is the Fediverse. There is more to the #threadiverse than just lemmy!
Great point! Sorry, I’m new to Lemmy (but not to the Fediverse) and I see you’re using kbin. It’s easy to forget that people are not all using the same software — I’m still amazed that I can post to a Lemmy community from Mastodon, and I assume the same is true for kbin.
I had this question because i was explaining Lemmy to my partner, and her favorite subreddit is BestOfRedditorUpdates. So I wondered what would be the name of the equivalent community in Lemmy. 😊
Perhaps we can call ourselves “threaditors.”
How about “feditors”?

Make it so!
OoO, I like #threadiverse, was never fond of how the whole fediverse is mashed together.
