His grandson crown prince Frederik will be King Frederik X the 14th of January, when he takes over after Queen Margrethe II on the 52nd anniversary of her crowning.
King Frederik X like his grandfathers king Christian X and king Frederik IX is a real badass, he is a Navy Seal, the toughest military education we have, and he has a degree in political science. He and his wife Mary who will be queen are very well liked in Denmark.

I don’t have a bellybutton, because I was born with my guts the wrong way around and they used my navel for the incision when they operated on it. So I do have a scar in the same place, but not a traditional one. You can imagine the kinds of moments when people notice, and it’s never when I’m in the mood to talk about it, of course.
