Holy shit what is up with that site? It slowed my whole computer down to a crawl and made the fans kick in on high. I looked at UBlockOrigin and it showed >7k blocks and I’d only been on the page for like 10 seconds. What the hell are they tryin to do there

Really? It only shows around 20 for me. Sounds like some piece of javascript adware crap went haywire, the site behaves normally for me.
