Nearly every Republican will vote for Trump. Meanwhile, the Democrats are notoriously fickle already, and have to convince enough independents to vote for them, and they’re doing everything in their power to alienate people in both camps.

Typical establishment hubris. The other side supports fascism, so we dare you not to vote for us, or just the assumption that enough people support them out of the gate to win (like Hillary Clinton). And we are fucked by the two party system again.

I think you don’t know much about that side of you think that’s the attitude of a huge number of people that routinely vote for them because there is no viable third party, an incredibly diverse group sometimes with competing interests (for example, Zionists and Anti-zionists). They need those slogans and any other means to convince people they’re good enough.

Genocide Joe wasn’t made up by the right, but the term RINO was.

Let me just remind you that you said this:

Nearly every Republican will vote for Trump.

This is as true as me saying nearly every democrat will vote for Genocide Joe.

We’ll have to see stats after the fact, but I feel pretty confident that nearly every Republican will vote for Trump just like they did in 2020. He did absolutely nothing surprising or out of character after the election, so if he lost support over it then people really had no clue who they were voting for despite four years showing exactly who he was. Republicans are much more loyal. Nearly every democrat voted for Biden too, but he’s actively doing things to piss off the base and if anything does manage to energize support for him it will be Trump, not Biden himself (Bo Burnham summarized things nicely). Democrats won’t likely vote for Trump but there will probably be more protest votes than there were, or people who don’t bother.
