Can using an SD2Vita adapter cause stuttering in-game?

I am playing The Wolf Among Us and have been experiencing some major stuttering between scenes and during quick time events. I recall seeing minor amounts of stuttering with Gravity Rush and it’s making me wonder if it has to do with SD2Vita adapter/SD card or if it’s just the PS Vita struggling with the games. Looking online I do see reviews for these games that mention framerate dips but others don’t and they definitely don’t paint the picture of what I’m experiencing.

The TLDR is basically does using an SD2Vita adapter cause performance issues versus a legitimate game cartridge?

Interesting. I wonder if you got a defective unit or something. I haven’t had that issue even with a few years of use.

  I’m wondering if it might be the size of SD card I’m using. I’ll have to check, but I think I’m using a 1TB.

Piracy is bad, we advocate only backing up games which are already owned by you, the user.

No selling links to game downloads. No asking people to pay for you to download and dump a game. No monetization links such as adfly or other revenue generating links. This will get you banned.
Direct links to downloads located on private servers (anything but a public file host) require mod approval. This includes sites which require a login and or password.
Links that require a password, have click thru links or that require a special account to access require mod approval. These would include Password ZIP files, Baidu links and linking to a secondary site that uses any of the previously mentioned features. Failure to get approval will get the links removed and you may lose posting privileges.
If you ask a question that is answered in the EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW thread, it will get be deleted. Repeated infractions may result in a ban.
