The cheerleaders who squeeze everyone to not criticize the bribe takers – I dont understand-- especially when it loses elections and obviously was never going to work. I think they just chart a course to feeling smug but dont use their brains around whether what they are saying is flatly evil and doomed.
Once you realize America makes everything into a team sport it makes more sense. Not good but somewhat makes sense.
So in this case banjo is diehard blue fan and anything that makes the team look bad is terrible. Just like NFL owners scapegoating coaches when they either don’t want to pay players or coaches enough to stay, or get a GM who can actually build a roaster for the coach
I think its oppositional defiance disorder mixed with a form of para-social relationship building. There are accounts Banjo has decided are their “enemy”. Whatever stance those accounts take, Banjo takes the opposite stance.
