Maybe you talk fast, quiet or otherwise difficult to understand?
Or maybe the other person was focusing on something else when you started talking to them?
A lot of stuff gets lost in verbal communication, repitition is part of it. That’s perfectly normal, and it’s probably best to not immediately antagonize someone because of it.
