So, for starters, I am a young lesbian but since I use masculine and feminine names, genders, and pronouns, I call myself a lesbian and a straight trans man interchangeably. My uncle is very conservative, as is my dad, but since this is about my uncle, he is the type of person to want me to be an obedient, ladylike, straight girl. Just to give you an idea of the person he is.

He also married a woman who HATES me because I’m “not normal” and I act “weird” and can’t act like my neurotypical family.

My aunt cut me off and claims that her phone doesn’t work right and my messages don’t send to her but they work fine with anyone else and people have told me she’s just being an ass.

Anyway, both of them according to my uncle who texted me, got really mad and said they were tired of being ignored and ditched and all this stuff and how dare I not say Merry Christmas to them.

I was visiting my other aunt’s house but I just told him I was busy because my other aunt is his ex-wife and he would get very pissed. Anyway, because I was at a family party meeting my aunt’s new husband’s family, I wasn’t using my phone a lot and I was instead eating a lot of food and talking to them so I didn’t say Merry Christmas to my toxic uncle and aunt.

But I wished him one a day later when I woke up the next morning, AITA?

You have no obligation to wish anyone a merry christmas.
