I had put off visiting former neighbors in a nursing home* until I got my house in order and had planned to go yesterday. One was in the end stages of cancer, I missed him by about 12 hours. On top of this, I heard about the holier-than-thou, rent-seeking type of neighbor (who incidentally is also an evangelist) visiting him two or three days before he passed, and telling him to beg G-d for forgiveness for all the nasty things he did, when well.

It’s going to be hard to keep my mouth shut and not tell her to do the same. Why keep quiet? If I say anything, she’ll use it as justification and confirmation that she’s doing G-d’s work, being “persecuted” for it, and go harder.
