I don’t know what this whataboutism is good for … The ‘White House news’ has nothing to do with it. The ‘White House news’ explicitly releases press statements from the U.S. government. It’s some sort of the government’s press office, very much what other governments have around the globe. They don’t pretend to be a news agency. When you read the White House news, you know what the source is, and this helps to assess the content’s credibility as you know the source.

There are news agencies in the U.S. and elsewhere which are independent. You see that, for example, when these agencies criticize the government of the countries in which they operate. This includes critique of the Trump administration as you can read across the web.

The Tasnim News Agency in Iran is de-facto the same as the White House news in the U.S. if you want to put it that way. It sort of the government’s press office. The difference here is that they pretend to be an agency. This article tries to hide the real source where the content comes from. If they frame this news as what it is - a press release from the Iranian government - you know where it comes from and can assess the content’s value.

But this is not the case here. They pretend to be a news agency. They pretend to be publishing an independent article, although the content comes directly from the Revolutionary Guards in Teheran, while this fake-agency is ciiting ‘an Iranian source.’

Comparing these two things and framing it the way you do it discredits you completely, and it’s not the first time unfortunately. What makes this worse is that you are the mod here.
