I live in the Bay Area, CA. I’m already in the best part of this country (for me). It’s attached to a bunch of red states with stupid people who vote against our interests. 2020 taught me how shitty my fellow citizens can be. I wanted to get the fuck out and would have, were it not for my partner (we met at the end of 2021).
Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi. These are states that would cause my suicide if I had to live there. Florida gets an honorable mention here.
