    How the fuck are you going to define someone by a pension? Seems like a lot of assumptions and prejudice goin in that definition. Is Pension like a town or something too?

      My understanding is that it’s a British term for retiree. Basically just means elderly

          I know some safety nets are better than none (and that this is a meme thread I’m dragging down), but don’t fool yourself - millions of older people in the UK go hungry and cold because they can’t afford the basics.

            I think we got a similar situation all over europe, maybe not as bad and certainly better than most of the world but still shitty!

        Still completely irrelevant to the story though (but that’s to be expected in tabloid territory).

      Same in Sweden/norway. Pensionär/pensjonist are synonyms for retiree.
