      From Reddit:

All posts must follow typical meme setup/design: an image/gif/video with some sort of caption; mods have final say on what is (not) a meme; tldr:

      • No titles as meme captions
      • A GIF/video alone (without caption) is not a meme [especially screen recording / scrolling]
      • Do not post screenshots of people saying something funny on Twitter/Tumblr/Reddit/TikTok/text messages
      • No unedited webcomics
      • No text-only memes
      • No IRL recreations or creepshots; no selfies or making friends into a meme

A comment is not a meme. It lacks depth and is low quality posting

        From Reddit:

        … Lol, STFU.

Reddit" guidelines" aren’t the end all be all to every platform.

I dislike when people attack others online, so I apologize for the above, but I’m not deleting it. Are you serious tho?

No but I think r/memes is a pretty good roll model. They do a really good job of keeping down the spam.

That doesn’t match up with what KnowYourMeme.com says

Memes are broadly defined as culturally transmitted information or ideas and beliefs that can be spread from one organism, or group of organisms, to another.
